• What is the CCAP's default IP address if the CCAP is directly connected to my laptop/computer?

  The default CCAP IP address is 169.254.10.10 (APIPA).

• The CCAP is not accessible with a direct connection between CCAP and laptop. Why?

  Please ensure that your Ethernet network adapter IP setting is configured with "Obtain an IP address automatically".

• How do I know on which IP address the CCAP is accessible if it's connected to the network of the customer?

  Right mouse click on a column header in the Store Overview of Device Explorer and select 'IP Address'. A column with IP adresses will appear showing all local visible Access Points.

• Is the CCAP remotely accessable over the internet?

  Yes, this is possible with Device Explorer when you have a full subscription or an annual subscription for the selected CCAP.

• Is it possible to connect the CCAP in the middle of the installation?

  No, this is not possible. The CCAP must be connected to the first or last antenna on the fieldbus.

• I sometimes receive a System Notification e-mail from the CCAP

  This means that the CCAP was powered off during the sending time of the daily/weekly/monthly report. First you will receive the System Notification and then the report which was scheduled. The System Notification can be turned off in the 'Mail and Time settings' screen of Device Explorer.

• What exactly is the Green Mode?

  The green mode enables reduction of power absorption after opening hours. When the green mode is enabled, the system will only be active during opening hours of the shop (as specified in the Opening hours section).
  The system on time shows the actual time that the system will be active. The start time is automatically derived from the earliest opening hour of the week minus 30 minutes and the stop time is the latest opening hour of the week plus 30 minutes.

• How can I reset the unit to factory settings?

  Just push the Reset button, located on the right side of the Ethernet connector, for about 45 seconds. When the red LED starts flashing, the unit has started the reset procedure and you can then release the Reset button. Remember that all the data that is present on the unit will be lost after this reset to factory settings!

• Can the CCAP be connected to the internet through WIFI?

  No, the wifi option is only for setting up a wireless connection between the CCAP and your laptop to have access to the CCAP in Device Explorer.

• What is the difference between the Dealer CCAP and a normal CCAP?

  The Dealer CCAP has less functionality than the normal CCAP and is used for installing devices locally in the store. The Dealer CCAP can not generate and send reports and will not store entrance configurations.

  The dealer CCAP is marked with a sticker on the top op the housing. Without a sticker it's a normal CCAP.

• Can MODUS systems be remotely serviced with Device Explorer?

  No, MODUS systems have no remote service options. They can only be configured locally.

• How long are reports stored on the CCAP if internet is not available?

  Reports that can not be sent because the internet connection is down, are stored for 40 days and will be sent as soon as the internet connection is restored again.

• What is the WIFI password when using the WIFI stick?

  The WIFI password is: crosspoint_ap
